Raw Materials

Fiber Roving

A roving is a long and narrow bundle of fiber. Their main use is as fiber prepared for spinning, They provide the strength, rigidity and electrical insulation properties.

Unsaturated Polyester Resin

unsaturated polyester, any of a group of thermosetting resins produced by dissolving a low-molecular-weight unsaturated polyester in a vinyl monomer and then copolymerizing the two to form a hard, durable plastic material.

Fiber Sheet Rolling

A fiber roll is a temporary erosion control and sediment control device used on construction sites to protect water quality in nearby streams, rivers, lakes and seas from sediment erosion. It is made of straw, coconut fiber or similar material formed into a tubular roll.

The Pultrusion Process

Heated Die

During pultrusion, the resin and fibers are pulled through a heated die. This shapes the pole and activates the resin to harden.

Pulling Device

A pulling device pulls the fibers through the die at a constant speed. This helps create a uniform pole with the desired properties.

Cut Off Process

A cut off process is used to trim the pole to the correct length. This completes the pultrusion process.
